He’s Mr. Right Now, but for how long?

When Russ suffers a Thanksgiving disaster, his gorgeous neighbor Esteban is there to save the day. And after an innocent mix-up leads to the former Hollywood hottie playing the role of Russ’s date, Russ thinks scoring Esteban as his fake boyfriend is a huge win. The newly discharged marine is healing inside and out and could use some holiday cheer.

For his part, Esteban is intrigued by his big, bad neighbor. He likes how his matchmaking cat brings out an unexpected caring side of Russ. Desire flares as the reasons to continue their ruse pile up for both men.

And pretending feels so good. From chocolaty kisses to late night cuddles, their burgeoning friendship is getting cozier and cozier. But as the end date for their little deception looms, all the real feelings they’ve tried to ignore come tumbling in. Each must decide whether they have what it takes to ring in the New Year as a couple.

Mr. Right Now is a stand-alone holiday novella with sweet, low-angst feels, spicy love scenes, and foodie inspired, quirky Oregon romance with a military flavor. Happy ending guaranteed with no cliffhangers!

Review

This is the perfect Fake relationship trope story, I like that they stumble into it and not plan in as a scheme of some sort. Russ and Esteban have this easy friendship that gets better the more time they spend together. I also enjoyed how, despite them making plans to ‘break up’, they keep getting pushed back, until they realize this had become much more then pretend.
Russ was my favorite character, he’s doing some big life changes and I could relate to that. He’s going after his dreams, figuring out what he wants, and that includes Esteban. Never giving up and going for it even when it’s out of his comfort zone. He inspires me to dream nigger, do better.

They are both well rounded characters for such a short story, with specific interests, tastes and personalities. Annabeth puts her unique touch into every story, with military heroes I always enjoy reading about. Also, there was just enough heat to keep satisfied, even though I would love more, but in a novella you have to balance every story component.
Sweet HEA, Romantic with just the right amount of taste for more, Mr. Right Now is the perfect Christmas Romance to bring a smile and warmth to your heart this holiday season.

Successful financial analyst Michael Walsh leads a picture-perfect life that anyone would envy—unless they caught a glimpse beneath the surface. Haunted by failed relationships and self-doubt, Michael harbors a soul-deep loneliness that no number of casual hookups can fulfill. So why can’t he stop thinking about his New Year’s fling with a man whose quiet desperation matched his own?

Barista Stewart Jenkins has an abysmal track record with relationships, and no matter how hard he tries to keep things tightly under wraps, his life is spinning out of control. His hookup with the gorgeous Michael was only supposed to be sex—hot, dirty, uncomplicated—but that small taste leaves him yearning for more.

Every no-strings encounter that follows between Michael and Stewart peels away more layers, blurring the lines, until they’re left with a raw tenderness and acceptance they both crave. A relationship seems out of the question—they come from drastically different lives and are plagued by inexcusable sins. Being vulnerable is sure to reveal old wounds, and forgiveness seems out of reach, unless they can find a way around their fears on the road to redemption.

Review
Both Michael and Stewart have both come out of relationships they have tried to cling on to. Both of them have been painted as the bad guys. It during this period of acceptance and introspection that they meet each other and the penny drops. They know of each other through their former partners. Small world. Both of them are carrying a lot of baggage and resist getting involved with anyone again. They are so drawn to each other that they dance around admitting that they want anything more than to hook up. Both of them grow so much during this story that it’s a captivating read. They are getting together at the right point for both of them, they are now receptive to understanding where things have gone wrong in the past and do not want to make the same mistakes again. Even though they don’t quite want to open up to each other in the bedroom Stewart and Michael are so hot together, phew what chemistry.
Although this book can be read as a stand alone I personally think you get a deeper understanding of exactly how far both of them have come if you’ve read, or listened, to the previous two books. West (Jonas) relationship with Tristan is in Reawaken and Elijah and Kam’s story is in Reclaim.

The situation seems ideal: a month off work and a sweet deal to extend his stay in an unexpected paradise. Needless to say, Aaron is thrilled to snag an extra few days in Scotland after his work conference to soak up the magic of the country.

However, his plans to tourist his way around Edinburgh before his January 1st flight home are thwarted by a strange influx of people into the capital. Add in trains that don’t run on New Year’s, fireworks, first-footing, and running into the same gorgeous stranger as he exits every other shop, and Aaron really should have googled what “Hogmanay” was before he found himself whisked into the whirlwind of Scottish revelry and the impossible draw of that sexy stranger who tastes like scotch and, impossibly, already feels like the beginnings of home.

Review

Aaron is on vacation where he meets Connor. They literally bumped into each other before, but didn’t spend time. Met a second time and decided to make the most. I enjoyed the instant chemistry in this short story. There was a hot scene between them. I enjoyed reading about another culture, wanting to look this celebration up now. I could definitely see this being a longer book. Good holiday read. If only all vacations ended this exciting.

Levi’s family knows he needs to find a way out of his funk and be a part of the world again. His brother, Jesse, invites Levi to join him in sunny Spain for the holidays, but a delay at the airport finds Levi at Jesse’s home while his brother is stranded in Scotland. Luckily Alejandro—Alex—is on hand with a key, a friendly smile, and a willingness to keep Levi company. He might even manage to draw Levi out of his shell for some mutual flirting.
Levi surprises himself when he accepts an invitation to spend New Year’s Eve with Alex at Alex’s café, but is he ready for more when it means jumping back into life feetfirst? Besides, with an ocean between them and Alex hiding a part of his life that Levi isn’t sure he can handle, they’ll need their own Three Kings’ Day miracle to stay together.

Review
Levi seems a likeable chap, who has suffered from the death of his father, which has subsequently caused him to have problems with his writing career and close himself off from life.
He arrives in Spain to find his brother is still stuck in Scotland and so heads to the café to collect a spare key from the brothers best friend, Alex.
From that meeting friendship and flirting follow all gearing towards Three Kings Day, a traditional Spanish holiday.
This story was okay, but nothing really happened. Even the ending came upon me suddenly, with nothing definite set for the future of these characters. Both Alex and Levi are quite bland, no highs or lows expressed, although each has a backstory that was lightly touched on and could have made them more interesting. Maybe if this was expanded to more than a short story it would have been more engaging.
