If you are a fan of fated mates, dragons, and paranormal love – you won’t want to miss this! I was so psyched to find this author I immediately went out and bought her other titles!

This is really a book one and epilogue billed as 2 books, but that’s ok – they’re wonderful together and I was glad to see them bundled this way.

There is a bit of personal growth, some hot smexy times, some very romantic feelz and the potential for this series to grow.

I hope it does!

I was so nervous about this! I’m NOT a fan of pining and this practically SCREAMED pining. (You’ll see later why that is a terrible pun….)

In any case, Guy is still mourning his wife. She was his mate, but not his fated mate. When – in this unique world Erin Leaf has drawn for us – a person of magic meets their fated mate – powerful things are put into motion.

Though he wants to deny it – he can’t – Theo is Guy’s fated mate and together they not only have amazing chemistry and love but they also create some amazing magic together.

I found the world building to be entrancing and the romance really sweet – despite some of the weirdness surrounding the ex-wife and their relationship….

Highly recommended!

Review

This is a fun series by a very prolific paranormal writer! I admire the world building and the happy ending. There’s not a heck of a lot of story here – our guy suspects he’s meant to be bonded to a merman but he’s worried about what that would mean so he avoids it. We miss out on all the excitement and fun of finding out about mermen and the paranormal ☹ We do get to see our guy in the water and that’s always fun.

This wasn’t my favorite in the series but always enjoyable.
