Recent Release: He’s My Mate (Supernatural Alpha #1) by S. Schulties

Blurb

When the Oracle, the person who can see the past, present and future, tells you that you are now the Alpha of a newly created pack, you pack up the life you know and trade it in for a new one. Even if you don’t know the first thing about being an Alpha.

I’m Parker McKnight. I’m eighteen. A wolf Shifter. And now an Alpha.

I get it. I’m powerful. The most powerful Supernatural ever known. But, me…an Alpha? Fates! I just turned eighteen a few months ago…meaning, I just started to learn what it means to be an Alpha.

I don’t know what I’m doing! And on top of it all…the Oracle told me I have to redo my senior year of high school. Seriously? I just graduated third in my class and now I have to go back? Good thing my best friend is my Beta. She’ll help me…or…or she’ll end up killing anyone and everyone who gets on her nerves.

Fates help us all.

But what can I do? I can’t defy the Oracle’s orders. So…I pack up the little bit of things I have and move across the country with my best friend. I may not know what I’m doing, and I may not know where my life is going, but I do know to expect the unexpected. But what I didn’t expect was that I would find my mate within a few days of moving. My human mate…my human guy mate.

My mate is a guy…my mate is a guy?

Fates help me!

He’s My Mate is a mature high school/new adult MM paranormal romance. This book is guy on guy, has foul language and sexual scenes. Recommended for 17+ years.
Warning: This book talks about abuse…of all kinds. If you have triggers, do not read. If none of this bothers you…happy reading!

Review

First, let me say that this was great! I loved the world building. I loved all the characters. I loved the premise.

But… it needs a firm hand with the editing. It was too much.

I think we could have met everyone – superficially – without the entire gang getting a shot in this first introductory story.

I really wanted more focus on the main couple – though – they are more or less central.

I am excited to read more in this series and I think it shows a ton of promise!
