Former bad-boy pack enforcer Alpha Scott knew he had to change his ways if he wanted to see his thirtieth birthday. He’s worked hard to remake himself, and now that he’s bought The Fisherman’s Friend he’s within inches of achieving his dreams.
Six months ago, Scott had a one-night stand with Maccabe, a feisty Omega. Maccabe didn’t know he was on the verge of going into heat, but when he realized he was pregnant, he figured it out. Maccabe hasn’t had an easy life either. As a teenage runaway he spent a few years making bad choices before he turned his life around.
Neither of them are ready to be parents. Neither of them expects to fall in love. But that’s what’s happening. And now it’s up to them to make the right choices.
Scott and Maccabe never thought they’d want a mate, but when Maccabe ends up pregnant, they need to re-evaluate things. There is almost no angst in this short story. Just two guys getting to know one another and though they don’t address the elephant in the room til the last second – they laugh and enjoy one another’s company right from the start.
There’s a bit of smexy times and some sweet moments, but mostly a low key, slowly developing love story.
There isn’t much “wolf” in this – besides the male pregnancy – but it was a sweet story nonetheless.
