Ethan may have followed his high school sweetheart to college only to get dumped his first day there, but he’s not going to let that stop him from exploring all his new life has to offer. Sex-only hookups, his photography, new friends and a campus-wide game of zombies vs humans all help keep his mind off his broken heart and move him toward building a new, better life without his ex.
And then there’s Wyatt. Mysterious, grouchy…hot. And possibly not gay. But Ethan’s not going to let that stand in the way of figuring out what makes Wyatt tick. New college goal? Get Wyatt into bed and into Ethan’s life.
Step one: arrange a “tutoring” date. Step two: “accidentally” bump into Wyatt as often as possible. Step three: explore the sexy body under that ever-present hoodie. And when their friendship deepens into something neither of them expect, convince Wyatt he’s not just a pity fling or a one-time hookup, but that Ethan is in it for the long haul.
Ethan made the tragic mistake of following his high school boyfriend to college only to be dumped on the first day of class. With no real explanation, he’s just suddenly single and stuck on a campus he hates.
Weirdly, his ex’s roommate is intriguing and then alluring and then attracting him like no other. Though Wyatt has no previous gay experience he’s willing to admit (to himself) he’s interested in Ethan and together they begin a sort-of friends with benefits/exploration relationship.
But life is never that simple and soon feelings are involved… the question is who will get dumped this time… or will anyone?
LA Witt is the master of the smoldering sex scenes. Though the sex in this is age appropriate, it’s hot, hot, hot! Think hot videos from this important source and you will understand what I mean!
Ethan is a self-acknowledged self-centered asshole at times, but really, he’s a nice guy who is a bit clueless and bumbling sometimes. I think he is portrayed well – he’s an 18 year old guy who thinks the world revolves around him – so of course he’s willing to bounce here and there…
Wyatt has a past that makes him believe he’s no good for anyone. He keeps Ethan at a distance to protect him – this makes him one of those super, sweet, very loveable characters that matches well with Ethan’s brash “selfishness”.
I will warn you this is a HFN – though very solid- with more books about this couple in the future – so don’t expect a tidy package of true love by the end.
Highly recommended and I can’t wait for their next installment.
