Investment manager and always-in-control Richard Marshall has just landed a historic estate he’s waited years to acquire. Gone a lot for his work, he’s seriously craving his men. Yet it’s more than just the sex he’s missing. Emotionally-traumatized Luke is still dealing with the aftereffects of his father’s attempt to kill him, and Matthew’s trying to find his way as part of a menage relationship.

When Luke and Matthew come clean with Richard about what they’ve been feeling, he knows there’s only one way to solve all his problems: keep them close by accepting their help to investigate why someone wants to destroy the mansion he’s trying to save. When it becomes clear he’s put his family in danger, Richard has to choose between giving up control and pushing away the men he loves right when they’ve started to heal and have rekindled the explosive chemistry that brought them all together.

A menage relationship is hard enough. Add in danger, intrigue, a haunted mansion, and three sexually frustrated men, and it’s not a typical love story. It’s much more.

Review

This was a nice sequel to a great ménage story. I didn’t love it, as there seemed to be more angst than necessary. These guys already have so much going against them, simply working through that would be enough challenge for any relationship, but there is even more angst awaiting our trio.

Just as with book 1, there is a lot of sex and a lot of drama, and a pretty good resolution by the end.

While I enjoyed this, it doesn’t come near to my appreciation for book 1.

Recommended for fans of book 1, with caution.

Prisoner Neal Landon chose the Life Sentence Diversion and Rehabilitation Program over a life sentence; now he’s entering the training center to undergo painful initial obedience lessons. Will he be chosen by a fair and experienced handler, or a green sadist with powerful connections?

Stand in Neal’s shoes as he’s stripped naked and spread-eagled in steel restraints for a shower, collared with an electric dog training collar, and introduced to the training whip. He easily endures his basic obedience lessons with the whip and shock collar, but he could never prepare himself for what awaits him after lunch.

Uncaught killer turned student handler Logan has his sights on Neal, and is determined to become Neal’s permanent handler. In the meantime, he’s content with brutally “submission training” Neal.

On his hands and knees in a spreader bar and humbler, Neal’s bowels are forced to retain a mixture that causes extreme cramping, while a plug stretches his tender opening without mercy. His lips are closed with a surgical stapler, and Logan punishes his clamped nubs until Neal howls for mercy in abject submission.

Fortunately for Neal, one of the program’s star handlers is watching and steps in when Neal is punished to the point of passing out. Martin is there to choose his next prisoner, and while Neal isn’t his first choice, the handsome and sarcastic prisoner keeps catching his attention.

He soothes Neal and subjects him to a brutal test of his ability to trust and submit. Neal passes with flying colors, and begs the harsh but evenhanded Martin to choose him.

…. but will Martin choose to take on a difficult prisoner, or leave him to fall into the hands of a dangerous sadist?

Review

This was an interesting start to a series, which absolutely left me wanting more. This is not a romance, it is serious hardcore non-con, so not for all readers.
Neal is transferred to the Diversion and Rehabilitation program after another in a long line of arrests, where prisoners are broken down and rehabilitated through hard core sexual sadism. I would have liked a bit more world building, but if you accept the reality we are plunged into, the short story worked well. However, due to it’s lack of length it leaves a lot of questions unanswered and you finish it wanting to know what happens next.
The author does manage though, to leave on a note which could work, even if the work was left as it was, a short slice of life non con erotica. Except for the Logan side plot, which begs a sequel. The sequel is out and as a reader I will want to get it, to know what happens next.
The narrator did a very credible job with the story and I enjoyed his voice, although he was unknown to me before this book.

— Role-playing a cat for six months? You said you’re paying how much? —

Goran’s mouth has no filter, and it’s losing him job after job. Desperate and a week away from being homeless, he finds an offer online that sounds too good to be true. Spending six months in a mansion by the beach in return for a hundred thousand dollars as long as he sticks to the house rules.

This might be the one job where his unruly mouth doesn’t get in the way. After all, saying the wrong thing is impossible… when you’re role-playing a cat.

Meeting all the other guys at the cattery seems to be the icing on the cake, but the inconvenient truth he dishes out turns out to be too much. Goran makes everyone his enemy, but worst of all, Ollie, the prettiest cat of the bunch, the one who’s been in the cattery the longest, and the one who makes Goran’s heart skip a beat.

Ollie’s big blue eyes hold secrets Goran is intent on cracking, but to do so, he will need to learn to bite his tongue and listen. Too bad the pretty blond ice prince is set on getting Goran kicked out of the cattery for good.

Review

This is a book I’ve been meaning to read for a long time. The concept intrigues me but at the same time I was wary. I’ve read puppy play and pony play but cats by their very nature are fickle animals so unlike cuddly puppies or pretty ponies. This is a more fluffy pet play story than the other types and I seriously wonder why I was so wary. There is a cuteness about five men being cats with all their personalities matched to fit their cat persona.

Luis is a socially shy billionaire who likes the company of cats, human cats rather than people. He has built them their own luxury Cattery with everything they can desire, a chef, pool, games, etc. There are rules to follow but after six months a hundred thousand dollars. Easy money so Goren thinks. There are four cats already in the Cattery. Ollie (Oliver) was the original cat and has been with Luis for two years, Stoic Clove, easy going Bounce and nasty joker Cinnamon. Goren’s cat name is Smokey. From the start Goren’s straight talking upsets the others and he is given the cold shoulder. Six months is a long time with no other interactions if you don’t get along. The fun of the story is the interactions between characters. There is rivalry, bitching, sympathy, fun with a human size cat tree/gym, sex, blow jobs and cat fights real and play. Luis just wants to have fun with his kitties when he visits but since Goren arrived there have been tension. I’m not sure I like Luis as a character. He just wants the play kitties but doesn’t seem to be invested in the welfare of the men themselves. The emotions of the five men go through are described in depth and I love the way they give themselves over with abandon to their roles when called.

I was grateful for the epilogue giving a happy ever after but I was left wondering about Luis. This is sup to be the start of a series so there is hope of finding out what happened to the others.

All in all I quite enjoyed this kinky erotic fluffy romance.

Follow Noel, a captured rebel of the human Resistance, as he endures his
punishment at the hands of his supernatural enemies, the vampires. See
where his fate lies. Highly erotic and extremely dark and twisted. Prepare
yourself.

I’ve been betrayed by someone I trusted. Because of him, I was captured by
my loathed enemy: the vampires. Right now the sun is still high in the
sky, but I know when it sets, I’m as good as dead. They can’t wait to get
their fangs into me.

I guess some would say I have it coming. I did raise a lot of hell with my
Resistance crew, and I was planning on raising a hell of a lot more at
dawn before I was sold out by Jonah. The vampires, werewolves, and dragons
have been trying to track me down for months, and I’d always been two
steps ahead of them.

I guess my number is up. I just hope they make it quick. You see, the
vampires in my reality aren’t the romantic lot you read about in books.
They don’t sparkle or hang out at high schools with their teenage
girlfriends. Hell no. Vampires are brutal, calculating, sadistic, and
bloodthirsty. As a matter of fact, all of the monsters are! That’s how
they were able to take over the world so easily and change an entire
civilization to suit their needs. Whatever happens, I know it’s not going
to be pretty, so I’m preparing myself for the worst. May God help me.

Warning: This novel contains hardcore sexual situations between men, not
meant for sensitive eyes. I’m talking crude, lewd, and full of attitude.
This series will most likely either offend you or get ya revved up. There
will be no punches being pulled whatsoever, so you’ve been warned. Mature
adult content meant for listeners looking for something dark, taboo, sexy,
and unapologetic in their paranormal erotica. This is not a romance.

Review

Take the warnings seriously; this is a dark book. There’s rape, torture,
violence, corruption, and there’s no redemption or a counterpoint to
lighten the mood.

Noel, our protagonist, is a resistance fighter against the vampire rulers
of his dystopian society, betrayed by one of his fellow rebels and made a
prisoner of the vampires.

The vampire ruler Theoden enacts a cruel revenge against him by making him
into a vampire. Theoden’s powers are vast, nearly godlike. He can read
Noel’s every thought, punishing him even for rebellious thoughts. He and
his vampire “sons”, other men he’s made into vampires, begin a methodical
process of breaking and corrupting Noel. He’s subjected to sadistic
torture beyond what a human could survive, sexually assaulted and his mind
tampered with to ensure he enjoys it and comes to crave it. That he does
enjoy the sex despite not consenting is problematic, but if that bothers
you, this really isn’t the book for you.

Some of the torture went a little far for me (a silver encasement to
destroy his tongue – which regenerates due to his vampire powers was
pretty disturbing to me) and some of the kink a little raunchy too (a
urine douche must do it for somebody but I didn’t find the concept
appealing), but there’s something not unlike the mindset of eating a hot
pepper you know will make you suffer but you just want to prove you can do
it in the challenge of a book like this. I feel like my kink bragging
rights went up a notch just for making it all the way through. Highlights
include forced cross dressing and feminization, double penetration, the
before mentioned urine douche, and lots and lots of hard, sloppy man on
man (and then some) action.

Master Theoden has a real son kink. His collection of lovers are all
expected to think of him as their father and brothers to each other. There
is no romance, instead Noel’s journey is accepting his new family and a
sexuality that’s evolving whether he likes it or not. Noel learns it’s
hopeless to rebel and that his only choices are to embrace his new life or
suffer horribly. This new life includes killing to satisfy his hunger, to
sometimes rape to satisfy his lusts. His corruption is disturbing. The
book is nearly non stop sex, and it’s often hot, but pretty much always a
little uncomfortable.

The strongest scene in the book for me was Theoden and Noel being hosted
by a mortal straight couple, and Theoden forces Noel to have sex with them
both(the only sex scene with a woman). The couple clearly don’t want to do
this but aren’t given a choice, any more than Noel is. It’s interesting to
see Noel forced into a position of an abuser after the whole book has been
him being victimized.

While I found a lot of the rape and torture disturbing, I still found a
lot of the book hot and I’m curious to see what happens next in Noel’s
journey. There are several sequels and I intend to listen to the next one.
Despite my squeamishness at parts of the story my interest is still
hooked.

Narrator Arthur Byrd does a good job of performing a role in nearly non
stop sexual situations. He often does a great job of enhancing the reading
with a sexually heightened performance.

When it comes time for Wil to leave, with outside tensions closing in and time running out, tempers flare and emotions fray. Beneath the misunderstandings and lack of communication is the realization these three men aren’t ready to say goodbye.

Review

I read this a few years ago. I was fairly new to MM and had been lucky enough to start with really good authors, N.R. Walker included. This was also my first MMM, and I have never regretted it.

NR did a really good job of introducing 3 different men, 2 already in a relationship, and blending their different strengths together. It made for an almost perfect relationship. Wilson is fresh out of a painful break-up; he goes on holiday to a resort where he meets Adam and Simon. Adam and Simon are in a relationship – Adam is the carer/nurturer half of the relationship, while Simon is the more playful, youthful half. When the 3 men first get together, it is hot and sensual, but as they continue to see each other, the relationship morphs into something special, worth fighting to keep. (FYI, they continue to be hot and sensual throughout the book ☺)

The intimate times are interwoven within a lovely romance and the overall story is sprinkled with acceptance, heart and humour, making this is one of my favourite books.

Martin is a guy’s guy, one who enjoys the simple things in life: baseball games with his son, family days, barbecues, and date nights with his lovely wife.

Once a year for two weeks, Martin takes his son, Marty, to Quillon’s Covert, a rustic family cabin secluded in the beautiful California mountains. Since before those long days of learning to play ball, Marty has loved his dad, but as Marty matures, Martin starts to see something else settle in his son’s uncertain gaze. What’s there lingers a little more than it should, and it seems far more appraising than it once was.

As Marty shows every sign of taking the lead, Martin is faced with the tough choices most parents never see: lose his son by being a father, or try to balance what’s best for their relationship by being something… more.

But with another trip to Quillon’s Covert on the horizon, has the point of no return already begun?

Review

Ok, before I can write this review, you need to know two things about me:
1. I am a bit of a perv. I love kink, I love dark reads, I love taboo reads. Pain, water sports, humiliation, pet play, non con and dub con? I say: Bring it!
2. I am (not so) secretly in love with Joseph Lance Tonlet

Despite of the above facts, I have been avoiding this book for ages, ever since it came out actually. Because it turns out, I actually do have a limit, and that limit was incest… or so I thought, anyway…
I still agreed to read this book, in order of our kink month, as I had it sitting on my shelf and being in love with the author, I just couldn’t NOT read it, right? So, I girded my loins and started to read…
And, phew… ok. At first I had a bit of an ick factor going on. The book starts out when Marty (the son) is a young teen, and since I knew what would happen later in the book, I couldn’t help to let that color my reading experience and the way I viewed Martin’s (the father) actions. Except, few pages in, I realized I wasn’t being fair, because there was absolutely nothing icky about Martin’s behavior towards his son. He was a great dad, loving, caring and affectionate and nothing else!
Some people will probably still get offended by the first couple of chapters in the book though, as Martin and his son are nudists when at the cabin. And for some reason nudity between children and adults are an absolute no go in today’s society. Which is kind of weird, when you think about it. Nudity isn’t inherently sexual, it only becomes sexual if your feelings towards the other person are sexual. Which Martin’s decidedly are not, towards his son.
But if you make it through that first nudity taboo, you’ll find a very engrossing and enjoyable story about love in all it’s different forms

The move from a platonic father son relationship into a sexual one actually happens quite gradually and organically, in a way that makes it seem quite “normal”, for lack of a better word. I was actually very well done. The love and affection was already there, so was the intimacy, the lust and desire came later. And this being a Joseph Lance Tonlet novel, you can always count on the sexy times being both steamy and a bit kinky… phew… This story gaves us everything from slow and tender loving, to rough fucking, sprinkled with a bit of bondage, spanking and dirty talk! Yum!

The ending suited me perfectly, I was a bit worried at one point, about how this would conclude, but I liked it. It may not work for all readers though and aside from the incest taboo, readers should be aware that both MCs are cheating on their respective partners at points in the book. Not something that really bothered me, but I know it’s a big NO for many readers.

All in all, very well done incest romance, hot and sweet. Would recommend.

Review

Being as this is Kink Month and I’m VERY Vanilla – I (chickened out) chose ménage. 😉

I’ve owned this audiobook forever and – for whatever reason – never listened to it. So, I decided now’s a great time to see why – or what I was missing.

Well…. On the one hand it has a lot going for it. It has geeks forced into a tight space with the air of “this might be our last kiss” about them. It has two – closeted – gay men and one bi-curious/in denial gay man who are thrown together and in a situation where passion finally ignites.

I thought that there was a lot of great sexual tension that bled into a lot of great sex. Beyond that, the relationship building was practically non-existent.

The triad barely worked – one part of the dynamic – Jamie and Tuck – clearly feels more than Brendan – and though – by the end – they’ve worked this out – it never felt solid or like a true, balanced triad.

As for the narrator, he didn’t really work for me. His voice is a bit too old and he didn’t do enough to differentiate the MCs so it was hard to know who was doing what or when and I had to keep reversing to see what was up. (It’s hard enough with 3 MCs – all male – but the narration didn’t help to keep them separate.)

All in all I wouldn’t recommend the audiobook – it wasn’t that enjoyable – and the story was good if you enjoy ménage sex – but it wasn’t great if you’re looking for a great romance.

Can a touch of Satin bring a straight copper to his knees?

Detective Joel Hunter is on surveillance when he first lays eyes on Satin, the singer with the amazing voice, which is as beautiful as she is. But when the stake-out comes to an end, he can’t resist going back to the bar. He gets a shock when he learns what lies beneath the satin dress, but an even bigger one when he realizes he’s attracted to the owner of that sultry voice – Ross Dauntry.
Ross can’t figure out why the cop keeps coming back, even after he’s learned the truth. Is Joel attracted to him, or to Satin? Because the answer is important, and one way or another, Ross needs to know…

Review

This book opened my eyes in many ways – learning the difference between a female impersonator vs drag queen, (I had erroneously thought the 2 were synonymous); leaning that not all female impersonators are cross-dressers. And most of all, I realised that I really like stories about female impersonators ☺

As Satin, Ross is an elegant lounge singer who sings of heartbreak; when he is Ross, he’s a young man who has experienced loss and heartbreak but is all the stronger for it. Joel is a solid policeman (DC) who finds himself attracted to Satin, but falls in love with Ross.

There is a bit of angst with the MC’s separating a couple of times – Joel is unsure of his feelings towards Ross, (after all he’s been ‘straight’ up to this time). But once he works out that what he feels for Ross is like nothing he’s felt for any of the women he’s dated in the past, he goes to get his man.

This is story about getting over misconceptions and opening one’s self to new experience, (I know I learnt from it).

I really enjoyed reading and plan on reading Lace, the first in the series (both are standalones).

Love is the strongest bond.

Three months. That’s all it took for Kai to forsake freedom and learn to love his new life as pleasureslave to a wealthy Thirskan Underlord.

Finding himself surrounded by his own people once more, he should have been happy, yet they are not how he remembers them. Distrustful and disgusted by his relationship with not one man but two, they make it abundantly clear Kai no longer fits in.

Beaten, starved, and tortured, when the chance comes to escape, Kai is barely strong enough to make the journey. Even if he succeeds, how could anybody ever love the thing he’s become in order to survive?

Review:
Even though this review is in our Kink month, there is no sex in this story. But I could not skip this book without there being confusion on the storyline.
We left the first book, The Slave, with a cliffhanger, and The Soldier picks up right where it left off. After walking for 18 hours Kai is faced with being a prisoner by his own people. Yet he is more concerned with Master and Tam’s wellbeing than his own. There are several scenes of violence against the 3, the worst being heaped on Kai. To add insult to injury he is now considered less than dirt by his own people. He is given the opportunity to step outside the walls and could escape, yet all he can think of is getting help to facilitate a rescue.
Most of the story consists of Kai trying to convince everyone that he means what he says, and his perseverance to reach the help to free his Master and Tam. During all of this he finally accepts that he wants to stay right where he is in the relationship with Master and Tam, even though he is damaged.
We get more of an idea of the larger story as different scenes play out. Is Master the lost prince? Is his son the next in line for the throne? Once Master and Tam is rescued, where do the 3 of them go from there?
