I was in high school and it was a natural progression through fanfic from reading het to mainly slash and gay romance. Never looked back now I read exclusively queer lgbt fiction

I came across Mary Calmes Steamroller and fell in love with the story. I immediately began to hunt for more stories that made me rethink my preconceived assumptions and half-baked understanding of these relationships and the journey these characters would take.

I’ve read some truly wonderful books that have touched my heart in great and terrible ways, and I’m so grateful to everyone who works so hard to put these stories out there.

Love is love, and it’s equal for both MF and MM couples, but what’s different and what drew me in was the relationship dynamics.

Started August bank holiday (uk) in 2012 with Cut & Run series by Abigail Roux & Madeleine Urban. Read all that were out back to back and have only read m/m ever since.

Bored with the tired he did/she did trope and searching for something different, I stumbled onto COME UNTO THESE YELLOW SANDS and SOMEBODY KILLED HIS EDITOR by Josh Lanyon in my local library. Fell in love with the genre; 75% of what I now read is M/M.

I like most started reading m/f romance at a young age. After many years it just seemed like the same old, same old. I was looking for some paranormal romance and fell into m/m/f stories and from there moved on to m/m romance. It’s been downhill ever since.

I started reading M/M romance 6 years ago because I got tired of the female leads, I wanted to smack them most of the time, I tried out an m/m book and was hooked I very rarely read an f/m book now, I started getting audios a year ago now because I enjoy knitting and crochet, so now I can combine them while listening to my favourite audio book and I ALWAYS get the ebook first then the audio 😀

I was searching for shifter books and came across Change of Heart by Mary Calmes. I haven’t looked back now.

started liatening to audio books because for 3 years my husband lived in Virginia while i lived in Georgia. So i spent a lot of time driving there. It took me about 12 hours because i had my daughter with me and that means a lot of stops. I love to read and couldn’t even think about not reading for that long so i started listening to audio books

I started listening to audiobooks after I won a giveaway by Lex Valentine and I’ve loved listening ever since!

I was reading gay lit when I was in college in the early 90s. It can be a little vague at times exactly where the division is between gay romance and gay lit, but I’d say some of those books were gay romance before gay romance was an official thing. If you don’t count Interview With A Vampire (which arguably is gay romance) then the first gay romance novel I read was an older book, Gaywick, which is a gay Gothic romance in the style of Jane Eyre.
I am a maniac for audiobooks and was listening to gay romance as soon as they were coming out.

I think it was reading Maurice by EM Forster and also watching the movie – I was totally pulled in by the beauty of their “forbidden” love.

I actually stumbled into it while looking for a new paranormal to read. I read one and said, hey I wonder if there are more of these, lol. Boy were there!

Started reading gay romance a couple of years ago – with Ann Lister’s Rock God series. As a gay man, I like books with gay characters and enjoy reading stories where folks get their happily ever afters!

I needed something to motivate me to get moving and music just wasn’t doing it. I’d been reading mm for a few years so it was an easy transition to audiobooks. Some of the narrators make the books really come alive. I tend to walk a few extra blocks so I can reach a spot in the story where I’m okay to stop.

One of my favorite authors started out as a M/F writer and I love her books, so when she decided to write a M/M book I knew it would be amazing. I was hooked from the beginning. The audiobooks are amazing! I love to listen to audiobooks when I am cleaning, driving to school, and pretty much anywhere.
