Pete Griflow is the last person anyone would suspect of being a porn star. If you had to think of what a star looks like, you wouldn’t think of Peter. He’s quiet, gawky, and can’t even talk to guys without turning red. But on camera, he’s a different person. In the porn world, he’s Jaden Prime, a coquettish power bottom who’s been tantalizing fans for over a year now.

Pete is in a rut, though, and he knows it. And what’s worse, his boss knows it. If he can’t reignite his passion for the biz, he’s going to have trouble paying his none-too-cheap college tuition.

When Pete is given the opportunity to star in a huge summer production, sparks fly between him and his costar, Kyle Darko. Kyle is Pete’s opposite: he’s daring, achingly sexy, and in love with the sex industry. Their chemistry is palpable on and off screen, but dating on a porn set is tricky. Even pros struggle to separate fantasy from reality, especially with a script dictating their seduction. But what’s building between them can’t be ignored, and it’s so much more than getting some “action.”

I received a free copy of this book from in exchange for an honest review.

I read the first in the Murmur Inc. series, and although I didn’t love it, I was still intrigued enough with the setting and premise of the series to continue with book 2. This one I enjoyed a lot more, even if it too drags a bit after starting out strong.

Pete is working as a porn star to pay his way through college. He is awkward in social situations and not having a lot of luck romantically, but is able to immerse himself in his character, Jayden, when he does porn. However, after a year of working the naughtiness and excitement of the work has fizzled out, but as he needs the money he jumps at a chance to do a full length feature, with an actual story behind the sex scenes. The fact that his co-worker, Kyle / Evan, is hot as sin and that the two have chemistry out the wazoo is no hardship either.

The story revolves around the shooting of the film and the real life ‘office romance’ that takes place behind the scenes between the two leads. And it is, in spite of it’s porn setting, an incredibly sweet New Adult romance.

I enjoyed the story and rooted for both MCs and their relationship, but the story was a bit too slow moving in parts to keep me fully engrossed all the way through. I do still find the setting of Murmur Inc. fascinating and the author writes in a fluid and easily read way that I find enjoyable enough, that I will probably continue the series.

Overall Impression: 3.5 out of 5 stars
